About Frost Sessions

In an endeavor to pursue new avenues to connect with the University of Miami community and beyond, the Frost School of Music is changing the higher education landscape with its new podcast aptly named FROST SESSIONS. Designed to be accessible online and on-the-go, this free podcast will help prospective students, current students, and the general public to learn more about music from those who have already made it in the professional world.

Unlike other standard podcasts, Frost Sessions does not have one host. Instead, the podcast invites the Frost School of Music community to host, which ranges from Frost faculty and alumni to current Frost School of Music students. They are paired with guests who also have ties to the University of Miami. On rare occasions, the podcast will feature guests who are not part of the community but can contribute to the knowledge of the ever-changing soundscape.

"Our faculty and alumni are some of the most successful and forward-thinking professionals in music today,” said Shelton Berg, Dean of the Frost School of Music, who hosted the premiere episode. "I am thrilled we have created this platform to share and explore everything music, featuring insightful conversations with special guests, each of whom are some of the most accomplished in their respective fields."
